In terms of graphic design the “eguzkilore” (flower of the sun) is one of our simbols.
They were placed in the entrance of the “baserria” to get rid of bad luck. Nowadays there are representations of “eguzkilore”s in different materials: wood, pottery, metal, jewery pieces… The real one’s the one’s in the mountains can not be taken, they almost desapeared some years ago (having a eguzkilore at home was in vogue).
Plastically it’s a very appealing simbol and designing it was very pleasant. The poster is online since last year and this summer we have enlarged the collection: greeting cards and invitation cards, both in “from the heart” section.
Colored and to color worksheets, as always. If you write “eguzkilore” in the search space you will find them too.
The flower of the sun is a representation of the sun, even if it has its own story in the basis “lighting” was its goal, face the darkness.
The sun is one of the simbols more representatives of the basque design history.
When we visited San Telmo museum we found lots of this representations. Slowly we will redesign this simbols and you will find them in kolore kolore.
All we learn in this process we will tell you in here 😉
